Contemporary artworks are protected by copyright and cared for by conservators, but this doesn’t mean that works are always kept in the state the artist would consider authentic – especially if the works are sold privately. By gaining knowledge of conservation issues, artists can take steps to prevent changes which they would consider to alter the interpretation of the work.
As part of their assessed work for this course, students were asked to design and produce a poster communicating specific aspects of conservation. We hope you enjoy our work! Comments are most welcome.
